For a different beverage experience with this food combination try a Satak Winery (Indiana) "Mango Mania" Fruit Wine.

You're right! And thanks for reading us, Kathy. If you have a cold and want to enhance the aromatics of the lemongrass and galangal, bruise them more heavily with the pestle and you'll find that the soup will have even more aroma. Before long, your entire house may smell like lemongrass, which is not a bad thing in my mind.

Thai Hot and Sour and the Tom Yum soups are two of my favorite soups, so I am anxious to try this variation! My mouth is watering as I write this.

Don't forget to mention that the Hot and Sour is a great treatment for sinus or cold infections, too.

Thanks, Victor.

Wish I could be there to taste your dishes. They sound wonderful. Since I have watched you cook, I know it is not easy.
