Razor clams are in season now and you can find them live and fresh at Ocean Star Seafood in Salem as well as Ohm Seafood in Portland. Or if you’re adventurous like us, you can even drive over to the Clatsop Spit and dig up some yourself. There’s no better way to prepare razor clams than dredging in an egg wash before dredging them in bread crumbs and seasonings and then pan frying them. But first you have to clean them. The idea of cleaning razor clams can be an intimidating one but we’ve created this video for you to show a simple and easy method for cleaning live razor clams.
